Master in Managemet, Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Gadjah Mada (MM FEB UGM) conducted another special training program as an implementation of bilateral cooperation with Postgraduate Institute of Management (PIM) University of Sri Jayewardenepura, Sri Lanka. The cooperation on Strategic Management for Public Sector training program had come to the 7th batch.
An opening ceremony was held on May 6, 2019 to welcome the participants who would join the training for 6 days including 4 days in MM FEB UGM Yogyakarta, the Department of Industry and Trade of Sleman Regency, and PT. Mega Andalan Kalasan (MAK) continued with 2 days visiting Jakarta Smart City and BRI Corporate University in Jakarta.
T. Hani Handoko, M.B.A., Ph.D. accompanied by Bayu Sutikno, Ph.D. welcomed the 40 participants and 2 training coordinators of PIM. He thanked PIM Sri Lanka for the educational cooperation in conducting the training and expected further sustainable cooperation.
On the other hand, Dilhan Virendra Goonetilleke who was the training coordinator of PIM Sri Lanka extended his gratitude in return to the Board of Directors and staffs of MM FEB UGM for carrying out the continuous training program. He added that PIM Sri Lanka chose UGM as an educational partner since UGM had been well known as the best university in Indonesia.
The participants were excited to learn the strategic management theory and its application to the society’s economy, know the creative development of local Small Medium Enterprises, and understand the millennial human resource empowerment based on technology which recently generated Indonesia’s economy.
