Master in Management Faculty of Economics and Business Universitas Gadjah Mada (MM FEB UGM) would celebrate their 31st Anniversary on July 2, 2019. A social service on donating 100 tanks of clean water for Temu Ireng, Girisuko Panggang Gunung Kidul District became an opening event for the celebration agenda.
Taking place on June 27, 2019, it was opened with a speech from Bayu Sutikno, Ph.D. on behalf of the Board of Directors of MM FEB UGM Yogyakarta. “Our objective of visiting your beautiful village is to establish connection and companionship while we also would like to ask for your blessing and prayer for MM FEB UGM which will celebrate the 31st Anniversary next week. We wish our program will always be successful in achieving our missions and getting more glorious,” he said. He added that MM FEB UGM wanted to take part in helping Temu Ireng society by donating 100 tanks of clean water. MM FEB UGM expected to keep on giving such social responsibility and dedication to the society in the future.
The headman of Girisuko, Jamin Paryanto, spoke in return. “Girisuko, especially Temu Ireng, is in an urgent need of clean water since March 2019. We have to spend much money to buy clean water for our daily use, despite our difficulty to buy our food,” he mentioned. He gladly welcomed MM FEB UGM for giving the donation and extended their gratitude for the useful contribution.
The event was continued with a ceremonial handover of the donation from MM FEB UGM to Girisuko village. Bayu Sutikno filled some jerry cans of the villagers with clean water provided as donation.
