Table Manner MBA-IMBA 82: Preparing Future Leaders

109 MBA-IMBA 82 Yogyakarta students participated in Table Manner, one of the activities in the Leadership Enhancement and Acceleration Program (LEAP) on Wednesday, December 13, 2023. The program began in the morning with maintaining a clean and tidy environment, followed by an in-depth explanation of table manners and their application in daily life and business contexts. This program aims to equip Master of Business Administration students of the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Gadjah Mada (MBA FEB UGM) with essential skills in the highly competitive business world, boost their confidence, and prepare them for future business challenges.

The explanations were about understanding table manners, including proper etiquette and procedures when eating, ranging from how to hold plates, spoons, and forks to the polite use of napkins according to applicable rules and the layout of plates and glasses when eating. In addition, students are also guided on proper speech etiquette and interactions during meals, such as thanking the waiters and avoiding inappropriate conversations. In addition, the Head Chef led a cooking practice session where students learned about ingredient preparation, proper selection of kitchen tools, and correct cooking steps.
