In July, MBA UGM Jakarta, in collaboration with the University of Antwerp (UA) Belgium, held the Summer Program 2024 in Yogyakarta and Jakarta. The program commenced on July 8, 2024, at MBA FEB UGM Yogyakarta Campus, with a welcome speech by the Vice Dean of FEB UGM, Bayu Sutikno, PhD, and the Director of MBA UGM Jakarta, Prof. Eduardus Tandelilin, PhD. A total of 36 UA students participated in cultural activities and company visits. The cultural activities took place in Yogyakarta from July 8-12, 2024, followed by company visits in Jakarta from July 15-18, 2024.

On the first day, the program featured presentations on International Politics and Economics by Djauhari Oratmangun, the Indonesian Ambassador to China, and on Cultural Issues in Indonesia by Suzie Handajani, PhD. On subsequent days, UA students visited and observed business processes at Bambu Verde, Monggo Chocolate Factory, and Paradise Batik Safana. As a city rich in culture, Yogyakarta introduced the students to batik making, crafting janur (young coconut leaves), and playing traditional musical instruments in the Pancoh tourist village.

After Yogyakarta, the UA students continued their activities in Jakarta. On their first day, they visited Masjid Istiqlal and had the opportunity to tour the largest mosque in Southeast Asia. They also walked through the Tolerance Tunnel, which connects Masjid Istiqlal and the Cathedral Church, reflecting religious harmony in Indonesia. The tour continued to the Old Town and concluded with a visit to the NGO Yayasan Cinta Anak Bangsa (YCAB). On the second day, UA students visited Astra Honda Motor and Puratos in Bekasi, and on the following day, they visited the Indonesia Stock Exchange and Nike for a sharing session.
