MBA FEB UGM officially launched its annual Sports Competition under the theme “Unleash the Resilience, Play in Harmony” at the Leadership Hall of the Master of Business Administration, Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Gadjah Mada (MBA FEB UGM), Yogyakarta Campus, on Friday, April 17, 2026. The opening ceremony was attended by MBA FEB UGM students and staff, who enthusiastically joined the event and celebrated the start of the competition.
The tournament features several sports, beginning with badminton on April 17–18, followed by mini soccer on April 24 and May 9, and basketball on May 2, 2026. These competitions provide participants with an opportunity to demonstrate their athletic abilities while strengthening relationships and fostering camaraderie within the MBA FEB UGM community.
The event was officially opened by Prof. Amin Wibowo, Ph.D., Director of MBA FEB UGM. In his opening remarks, he emphasized that the Sports Competition is more than just a tournament; it is also intended to help students relieve stress and maintain a healthy balance between academic responsibilities and physical well-being.
Representing the MBA Student Association (MBA SA), Ade Irfaannumilah encouraged all participants to uphold the values of sportsmanship throughout the competition, ensuring that every match is conducted fairly while promoting teamwork and mutual respect.
The opening ceremony concluded with the ceremonial striking of the gong by Prof. Amin Wibowo, Ph.D., witnessed by members of the MBA FEB UGM community in attendance, symbolizing the official commencement of the Sports Competition.
