The Master of Management Program, Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Gadjah Mada (MBA FEB UGM), held the Graduation Candidates’ Farewell Night on Tuesday, 21 April 2026, at the MBA FEB UGM Plaza. This event served as an expression of the institution’s appreciation for the academic achievements of the graduation candidates who had completed their studies, as well as a farewell moment before they enter the professional world.
In this period, MBA FEB UGM released 210 graduation candidates, consisting of 67 candidates from the Yogyakarta Campus and 143 candidates from the Jakarta Campus. The highest academic achievement was attained by Dian Rizky Amelia, with a Grade Point Average (GPA) of 3.99.
The event was attended by the leadership of the Faculty of Economics and Business UGM, the MBA FEB UGM Board of Directors, lecturers and education staff, alumni representatives, as well as the graduation candidates and their families.
The program began with a gathering and dinner session accompanied by musical entertainment. The event was then officially opened by the MC, Martha Sasongko, followed by the singing of the Indonesian national anthem, Indonesia Raya, and the Gadjah Mada Hymn.
The report was then delivered by Prof. Amin Wibowo, S.E., M.B.A., Ph.D., who presented the development of the study program and the academic achievements of the graduation candidates during their studies at MBA FEB UGM.
As a form of appreciation, mementos were presented to graduation candidates who earned cum laude honors. The presentation was carried out by Prof. Nurul Indarti, Sivilokonom., Cand.Merc., Ph.D., Head of the Department of Management FEB UGM.
A speech on behalf of the graduation candidates was delivered by Dian Rizky Amelia. In her remarks, she quoted John C. Maxwell, “a leader is one who knows the way, goes the way, and shows the way,” and emphasized that the degree earned is not the end of the journey, but the beginning of a responsibility to lead with integrity and create meaningful impact for society.
Inspiration was also shared by Dr. Hari Purnomo, S.T., M.B.A., representing MBA FEB UGM alumni and serving as Director of Downstream Operations and Distribution at Pertamina Subholding Downstream. He encouraged the graduates to continue growing and contributing to the professional world. In his remarks, he emphasized the importance of upholding the good name of the alma mater and developing the critical and solution-oriented mindset shaped during their studies.
The closing remarks were delivered by Bayu Sutikno, S.E., M.S.M., Ph.D., Vice Dean for Academic and Student Affairs of FEB UGM, who expressed appreciation for the achievements of the graduation candidates and encouraged them to continue contributing while maintaining strong ties with their alma mater.
The event concluded with congratulatory greetings for the graduation candidates, a group photo session, and entertainment that strengthened the spirit of togetherness. This event is expected to become a starting point for graduates to make meaningful contributions to society, the nation, and the country.
