
The Graduation Farewell Evening (MPCW) for the Master of Business Administration Program, Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Gadjah Mada (MBA FEB UGM) for the April 2025 period was held in a lively and heartfelt atmosphere. The event took place on Tuesday, April 22, 2025, at the Backyard Plaza of MBA FEB UGM Yogyakarta Campus. It was attended by Prof. dr. Ova Emilia, M.Med.Ed., Sp.OG(K), Ph.D., Rector of UGM, along with the Dean of FEB UGM, faculty management, program directors, lecturers, alumni, graduating students, and their families.
A total of 260 graduates completed their studies during this period, consisting of 116 students from the Yogyakarta Campus and 144 students from the Jakarta Campus. Among them, 79 students graduated with honors (cum laude), including Oryza Novianingtyas, who achieved a perfect GPA of 4.00.
The evening began with opening remarks from Prof. Amin Wibowo, Ph.D., Director of MBA FEB UGM Yogyakarta Campus. He expressed his joy in seeing many alumni now entrusting the program to their second, even third generation of family members. “This shows the sustainability of this program, which is the result of collaboration among all parties, including the parents and families who are here tonight,” he remarked.
Representing the graduates, Oryza Novianingtyas, this period’s Best Graduate, shared her gratitude and pride. “It is truly an honor for us to be part of the MBA FEB UGM family. As the first AACSB-accredited business school in Indonesia, MBA FEB UGM is a leading institution with high-quality programs, faculty, and facilities that are globally competitive,” she noted.
This was followed by remarks from Fankar Umran, President Director of PT Askrindo and representative of the MBA alumni association (KAFEGAMA-MBA). “The journey to this point has not been easy, and that’s what makes the achievement even more meaningful,” he said. Fankar proudly stated that being a graduate of MBA FEB UGM has equipped him not only with knowledge but also with integrity, resilience, and a strong sense of contribution.
Prof. Didi Achjari, Ph.D., Dean of FEB UGM, also shared his appreciation and pride. “The presence of these students at MBA FEB UGM proves that top international universities are within reach and that our graduates can thrive and excel in globally renowned institutions,” he affirmed.
The evening concluded in a cheerful and emotional atmosphere. It was a memorable moment that will surely stay in the hearts of the graduates and their families. May this be the beginning of a new chapter filled with achievements, contributions, and impact on society.
