MBA FEB UGM Holds Leadership Transition Ceremony for Outgoing and Incoming Management Teams

The Master of Business Administration Program at the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Gadjah Mada (MBA FEB UGM), held a Leadership Transition Ceremony on January 7, 2026, as part of the formal transition process between the outgoing and incoming program management teams. The event marked both an appreciation for the dedication of the 2021–2026 management team and the official appointment of the new management team for the 2026–2031 period.

On this occasion, the new leadership structure for MBA FEB UGM at both the Yogyakarta and Jakarta campuses for the 2026–2031 term was formally announced. Prof. Amin Wibowo, S.E., M.B.A., Ph.D., was reappointed as Head of the MBA Program at the Yogyakarta Campus, with Luluk Lusiantoro, S.E., M.Sc., Ph.D., serving as Secretary. Meanwhile, for the Jakarta Campus, Prof. Gugup Kismono, M.B.A., Ph.D., was appointed as Head of the MBA Program, accompanied by Sari Sitalaksmi, S.E., M.Mgt., Ph.D., as Secretary.

The ceremony was also attended by members of the 2021–2026 management team, including Prof. Dr. Tandelilin Eduardus, M.B.A., former Head of the MBA Program at the Jakarta Campus; Bowo Setiyono, S.E., M.Com., Ph.D., CFP., CACP., former Secretary of the MBA Program at the Jakarta Campus; and Rocky Adiguna, S.E., M.Sc., Ph.D., former Secretary of the MBA Program at the Yogyakarta Campus. In addition, professional staff of MBA FEB UGM who have contributed to supporting the program’s operations and management were also present.

In his remarks, Prof. Amin reflected on his journey with the MBA FEB UGM management team during the 2021–2026 period. He recalled the early phase of his tenure, which took place amid the COVID-19 pandemic, when office activities were conducted under strict health protocols, followed by a gradual return to normal operations with all activities eventually resuming at the MBA FEB UGM building.

During this period, Prof. Amin also highlighted various initiatives involving alumni as part of efforts to strengthen networks and ensure the program’s sustained contributions. “I certainly have a very positive impression, as from the beginning I was mentored by Prof. Ted—from my early years as a junior lecturer until joining this team. Over five years with the MM team, I have learned a great deal from him, and he has contributed significantly to my development,” he stated.

In his address, Prof. Gugup remarked, “Looking ahead, we will face a number of different challenges, and the experience held by our predecessors—Prof. Tandelilin, Bowo Setiyono, and Rocky Adiguna—will remain invaluable. Therefore, we must continue to develop new breakthroughs to further improve our program.”

Through this event, MBA FEB UGM expressed its appreciation and gratitude to the entire 2021–2026 management team for their dedication, contributions, and service in advancing the MBA FEB UGM program at both the Yogyakarta and Jakarta campuses. The transition of leadership reflects the natural dynamics of the organization in ensuring continuity in governance and the ongoing enhancement of educational quality.
