MBA SA Care: Sharing the Joy of Ramadan with Orphanage Children

The Master of Business Administration Program at the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Gadjah Mada (MBA FEB UGM), through the MBA Student Association (MBA SA), organized a social initiative titled “BERBAGI: Breaking the Fast Together, Sharing Love, Happiness, and Care for Others.” The event was held on Thursday, March 5, 2026, at the Leadership Hall of MBA FEB UGM Yogyakarta as part of its Ramadan community outreach activities.

This initiative was a collaborative effort between MBA SA 20.0, FORKIS, and KMK, aimed at creating a meaningful moment of togetherness through an iftar gathering with children from the Sayap Ibu Orphanage. Through this activity, MBA FEB UGM students not only shared meals for breaking the fast but also created a warm and joyful environment filled with compassion and care.

In preparation for the event, the organizing committee opened a donation period from February 22 to March 3, 2026. Contributions were received from various donors who wished to participate in this charitable initiative. The strong enthusiasm was reflected in the participation of 42 donors, both individual and collective, resulting in a total of IDR 11,500,000 raised.

On this occasion, Luluk Lusiantoro, S.E., M.Sc., Ph.D., Deputy Director of MBA FEB UGM Yogyakarta, delivered remarks and shared words of encouragement for the children. She expressed her hope that they would remain motivated in their studies and pursue their dreams with confidence. “Perhaps one day, you will join us here and study at this institution. Amen. I hope all of you will grow into leaders who are not only successful but also bring benefits to others,” she said.

Meanwhile, Muhammad Nadhif Daffa Priyansa, CEO of MBA SA 20.0, expressed his appreciation and happiness in welcoming the children from Sayap Ibu Orphanage. In his remarks, he emphasized the importance of togetherness and the spirit of giving during Ramadan. “I am truly delighted to stand here and welcome all of you, especially our friends from Sayap Ibu Orphanage. I hope this collaborative event allows us to share, break the fast together, and celebrate the joy of this holy month. I also hope that initiatives like this can continue in the future,” he stated.
