Five students from the Master of Business Administration Program, Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Gadjah Mada (MBA FEB UGM), demonstrated their global capabilities through their participation in the 2026 Global Corporate Consulting Project (GCCP), hosted by Zhejiang University International Business School, China.
The GCCP is an international business consulting program that brings together students from around the world to solve real-world business challenges faced by companies. Representing UGM were Muhammad Fadhil Abdul Baatsith (JOG-MBA 85), Syalinna Naurah (JOG-IMBA 86), Fatimah Tri Khumairah (JOG-MBA 85), Muhammad Nadhif Daffa Priyansa (JOG-MBA 86), and Josephine Anggita Damanik (JKT-SEMBA 47).
The team’s participation began with a faculty nomination, which they embraced as an opportunity to deepen their knowledge while gaining valuable international experience.
One of the team members, Muhammad Fadhil Abdul Baatsith, shared that the experience presented unique challenges, particularly in addressing the complexity of an international consulting project and overcoming language barriers, as the client company primarily communicated in Mandarin.
“The challenge was not simply about finding the right answers, but about ensuring that what we communicated was truly aligned with what the client understood,” he explained.
In their first year of participation, the UGM team earned two prestigious recognitions: the Outstanding Consulting Achievement Award and the Best Presence Award. These accomplishments reflect the ability of UGM students to compete and excel on the global stage.
Looking ahead, the team hopes their experience will inspire more students to seize international opportunities and continue developing their expertise in their respective fields.
“Success in consulting is not about how convincingly you speak, but about how well you understand the client’s core challenges and communicate meaningful solutions,” Fadhil concluded.
