The Master of Business Administration Program, Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Gadjah Mada (MBA FEB UGM), held a guest lecture on Friday, May 22, 2026, at the Faculty Meeting Room of MBA FEB UGM. The event featured Steven A. Yudiyantho, SEVP of Human Capital at PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk. (BRI), as the keynote speaker. Also in attendance was Sari Sitalaksmi, S.E., M.Mgt., Ph.D., Deputy Director of MBA FEB UGM Jakarta Campus.
In her opening remarks, Sari Sitalaksmi expressed her appreciation to Steven A. Yudiyantho for sharing his expertise and professional experience with MBA FEB UGM students.
“We sincerely thank Mr. Steven for taking the time to join us and share his valuable insights with our students,” she said.
During the session, titled “HC Transformation in SOE: The Untold Stories,” Steven shared his experiences in leading human capital transformation across Indonesia’s state-owned enterprises (SOEs). Drawing on his professional journey at Bank Mandiri, the BUMN Leadership & Management Institute (BLMI), and BRI, he discussed key challenges related to digital transformation, leadership succession, and strengthening organizational culture.
Steven emphasized that business transformation must go hand in hand with human capital transformation. According to him, an organization’s success depends not only on technology and systems but also on the ability of its people to adapt through a strong organizational culture, enhanced digital competencies, and effective leadership.
Participants also gained insights into the importance of developing digital talent, ensuring leadership continuity, and promoting diversity and inclusion in today’s organizations. In addition, Steven shared BRI’s experience in transforming its corporate culture through initiatives such as BRIVolution and the “Jambore Mantri” program, both designed to strengthen service excellence and foster professional pride among BRI employees.
The guest lecture concluded with an engaging discussion session, during which students actively explored topics related to organizational transformation and human capital development in the digital era.
